GENERAL RESOURCE UPDATE (GLOW UP WORKBOOK)

Revision Added June 2025

We have added the following clarification page to the opening section of The Supervision Glow Up Workbook to ensure transparency regarding BACB® supervised fieldwork requirements:

Disclaimer Added:

A new “Important Note on Supervised Fieldwork Hours” page has been inserted at the front of the workbook. This clarification reinforces that:

  • The Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) requires supervised fieldwork activities to be directly related to services provided to current clients on the trainee’s caseload.

  • Hypothetical examples, mock scenarios, or activities not tied to a current client may not qualify as unrestricted fieldwork hours.

  • The relevance and applicability of any activity is individualized and must be determined by the trainee and their supervisor.

  • The workbook is a study and skill-development resource and may aid in accruing hours, but this is not guaranteed.

  • Supervisors are responsible for determining if and how activities within the workbook may be applied toward supervised hours.

This update reinforces alignment with current BACB® requirements and ensures users receive explicit guidance on how activities may or may not contribute to supervised fieldwork hours.

Domain A – Philosophical Assumptions (A-2)

Revision Added June 2025

We have added the following clarification to ensure alignment with both the BACB Task List and widely recognized texts in the field:

Disclaimer:
The BACB’s official 6th Edition Task List (Task Area A-2) identifies five core philosophical assumptions: selectionism, determinism, empiricism, parsimony, and pragmatism. In addition, many recognized BCBA exam prep materials and Cooper, Heron & Heward’s Applied Behavior Analysis include experimentation, replication, and philosophical doubt as part of A-2’s conceptual framework.

While “functional relation” is not listed as a philosophical assumption in the BACB Task List, it is foundational to understanding behavior–environment relationships in experimental and applied analysis. For this reason, the curriculum uses a broader framing — alongside BACB-required content — to ensure a comprehensive, exam-aligned, and practice-relevant foundation.
